    Where to start? Well at the beginning of course! I got up at seven thirty had a protein packed full breakfast (with smoothie!) Then got into my Gi and got my sparring gear ready. I felt really nervous. More then last time because I needed to do sparring now I was a green belt. Talk about butterflies in your stomach I had a lot of them. When we got to the Dojo at 9am I said goodbye to Mummy and Daddy and then I went in. There was lots of people there and my actual grading didn’t start until gone 12.30pm. So whilst I was waiting  I helped out with both the white belt and blue belt grading by demonstrating and being a partner in self defence. In my previous post you would have read what I had to do to grade. I worked really hard at all of the different parts and was complimented on my essay. Now the really hard part waiting to see if I passed……

    Karate grading number 7!

    This coming weekend on the 28th November I will attempt my International Promotion to 3rd Kyu which is my advanced Green belt …just three steps away from black belt but…..thats a huge amount of training!! I will get there but not this year!!

    In my grading I will need to prove that I have mastered the following karate arts.

    Basics, Combinations, Kihon Kumite(free range sparring) Yakusoku (repeated combinations between two people) self defence (1-10 basic and 1-6 intermediate) katas (1-4 Pinan, 1-3 Seido, Sanchin, Taikyoku 1-3, Geskisai – Dai)  and written theory. My grading will start at 9am and finish around 1pm its going  to be a busy day!!
